Directing and Editing // Siti Kassim Interview
Siti Kasim, lawyer and activist, who is known for her work in defending orang asli (indigenous tribes) in Malaysia and groups that are being marginalised opens up on knowledge and her thoughts on being who you are.
This is the second series of PulseOn. Siti Kasim is one of the most controversial figures in Malaysia. Despite numerous amazing work that she does, Malaysian media has always portrayed her as someone with radical views. As we shot this piece and have a conversation with her, the more I realised that despite all the rumours surrounding her, a lot of her ideas and values aren’t so different than a lot of us. One of the joy of being a content creator and a filmmaker is the ability to try and understand your subject matter as much as you can.
