Theres one thing Malaysian will never deny the pride that they have for Malaysian food. Whether it’s the laksas, curry, nasi lemak or lemang. But one thing that is hardly talked about is the Ramly Burger. Ramly Burger is the arguably the ultimate street food in Malaysia. This video was meant to explore the culture behind this tasty burger. From the start of Hj. Ramly’s business in Kuala Lumpur, to the multi-billion business that it is today.
The project delves deeper into the Malaysian culture. The culture of modification. The love for food and the passion to make things our own. This video is meant to reflect how music, films and the socio-economic of Malaysian to the success of this iconic burger.
I thought it would be interesting to pair Vivaldi piece and the sound of spatulas and patties hitting the hot sizzling metal pan in a very unrefined way.
